Mutant, in partnership with Back Lot Music, are excited to present the premiere physical release of the soundtrack to Jeff Nichols' film The Bikeriders. Based on the 1968 book of the same name by Danny Lyon, The Bikeriders takes viewers deep into the inner circle of the rowdy, dark and uncompromising midwest motorcycle clubs of the 1960s. The soundtrack that surrounds it is an exciting compilation of rockabilly, blues and rock and roll classics, that places you deep into the period of freedom, Americana and anarchy. The 1960's are still one of the most important periods in music history - where rock, pop, soul, blues and early seeds of punk ruled the radio. This compilation, curated by Nichols, captures the essence of this beautiful and turbulent time in our history - one that soundtracked the jukeboxes, radios and inner-lives of some of one of America's most fascinating counter-cultures. Featuring hit songs from Muddy Waters, Gary U.S. Bonds, The Sonics, The Stooges, Dale Hawkins, The Staple Singers, Mickey Murray, The Shangri-Las, and more, this limited edition physical release features liner notes by the film's writer / director Jeff Nichols.
