The Deuce: Season 1

The first season of The Deuce follows the lives of people in New York City's Times Square at the start of the pornography industry in the 1970s. The series includes the following characters and storylines: 

C.C.: A pimp who recruits Lori from Minnesota to work as a prostitute. C.C. is also jealous of Ashley, another woman who is in love with him. 
Eileen "Candy" Merrell: A single mother and prostitute who works without a pimp. She explains the realities of the sex trade to a teenager and visits her son. 
Darlene: A sex worker who is injured during a rape role play. She later stays out late watching a movie with an elderly client. 
Abigail "Abby" Parker: A college student who is arrested for buying drugs. She meets officer Chris Alston at the station and becomes attracted to Vinnie. 
Vincent and Frankie Martino: Twin brothers who navigate the dawn of the modern pornography industry. 
Rodney: A pimp whose main client is Thunder Thighs. 
Thunder Thighs: A charismatic character who is poised to become one of the most important characters in the show.

The Deuce is a fictional recreation of the Times Square sex scene, and it includes anachronisms. The series was created by David Simon and George Pelecanos and aired on HBO.
