The demise of Canyon forced the late release of this record, which was eventually issued on Williams’ Fungus Records in 1973. Featuring strong domestic-situation songs and a powerful ‘rap’, these sides were recorded with Swamp Dogg’s backing band (who truly had that ‘Muscle Shoals’ sound) and delivers a hard socking, gospelfide, funk-filled Southern Soul gem. To mark the 50th anniversary of this record’s first release, it is reissued here on heavyweight turquoise colored vinyl.
