Cross My Heart - Having just lost his job, David (Martin Short) considers canceling his date with Kathy (Annette O'Toole) until his friend Bruce (Paul Reiser) offers a pep talk. Bruce, who has a nice apartment, believes Kathy will be impressed if David takes her there and says it's his place. Kathy, meanwhile, tells her friend Nancy (Joanna Kerns) that she's worried how David will react when he finds out she has a daughter. But they proceed with the date, charming one another with their honesty.

Fierce Creatures - After multimillionaire Rod McCain (Kevin Kline) buys a London zoo, the staff is pressured to make higher profits or face closure. McCain assigns the lovely Willa Weston (Jamie Lee Curtis) to supervise the zoo, particularly its misguided director, Rollo Lee (John Cleese). In an effort to increase attendance, Lee decides that only aggressive animals should be displayed, horrifying insect specialist Adrian "Bugsy" Malone (Michael Palin). Amid the caged wildlife, romance and even murder ensue.

Opportunity Knocks - Eddie (Dana Carvey) is a con artist whose schemes usually involve dressing as a meter man to steal TV sets. But when he learns that a large home he is robbing is to be free for a few months, he decides to move in. However, businessman Milt (Robert Loggia) drops by, so Eddie assumes the identity of the yuppie house-sitter who never showed up. Impressed with Eddie, Milt gives him a job and introduces him to his beautiful daughter, Annie (Julia Campbell), and Eddie tries to keep up the charade.

Spitting Heirs - A man (Eric Idle) brought up by Pakistani parents discovers that he is, in fact, the rightful heir to the Duke of Bournemouth. Determined to claim his inheritance, he finds that the title and the woman of his dreams have already been taken by his American cousin Henry (Rick Moranis).
